2011 Sydney Roosters Golf Day

February 22nd, 2011

Lind Golf was proud to be part sponsor of the Sydney Roosters Annual Golf Day which was held at The Coast golf course on the 16th of February 2011.

The Nearest-the-Pin and Longest Drive contests were held on the 12th and 13th holes respectively. The Roosters players and sponsors had the opportunity to have a hit with the Lind Golf drivers and irons, they could do this with the knowledge that if they didn't hit a good shot they could take a mulligan and hit another ball. Needless to say our Lind golf clubs were warmly received, with many of the days golfers bending the rules just so they could have another hit with our clubs.

The Nearest-the-Pin was held on the par 3, 12th and the pin was peppered all day with many golfers hitting great shots on to the green, but none could match the accuracy of one Matt Thomas, who nearly bagged a hole in one only for the ball to run over the lip of the hole and halt a mere 70cm away. Matt won a complete set of Mi9 Custom Irons which he was thrilled about.

The Longest Drive hole was the par 4, 13th, which ranked the hardest on the course and conditions were best for the early golfers, with little to no breeze. As the morning wore on a slight breeze pushed into the faces of our golfers although it probably wouldn't have mattered as Braith Anasta, swing looking as good as ever, crushed his drive a huge 285m, straight down the middle of the fairway. There was not much to follow apart from a gallant effort from Jared Waerea-Hargreaves who sent his ball an impressive 280m falling just short of his captain. Braith Anasta won a customised MiOne driver with our extra stiff shaft  to help with that ultra-fast swing he has.

On the Beat-the-Pro hole where players had a chance to beat the club pro in a closest to the pin competition, our own James Mooring took up the challenge. So with his custom made Sniper irons James gently landed the ball 125cm from the hole with the pro driving long past, a great win for Lind Golf and our new Team Captain James Mooring.

All in all, the day was a complete success with some great golf played mixed in with a lot of humour.  Following on from the day, we have since heard that a number of the players want to come down and get sized up for some clubs (pictures to follow once they have come in)

We were proud to be a part of the day and wish the Sydney Roosters all the best in the upcoming season in the hope they can go one better then 2010.

Go you Roosters!!

MiClub Wedge Stamping now available!

August 3rd, 2010

As you may have noticed Lind Golf has been going gangbusters lately in relation to launching new concepts to our range. Recently Lind Golf has added the laser marked putters and the MiBag panel upgrades to the range and now we have launched the Wedge Stamping Platform on our Website.

MiClub Wedge Stamping allows you to personalise your wedges by getting up to 5 characters of text stamped into the wedge and then having the stamping filled with your choice of colours. Lind Golf has decided to introduce this platform for 2 main reasons:

1) Lind Golf believes that wedge stamping was the next logical step with our brand, we want to give our customers as many customisation/personalisation options as possible. The wedge stamping allows our customers to further their personalisation ability by getting their desired text stamped into the wedges and filled with their choice of colour, allowing you to make MiClub uniquely your club!

2) Lind Golf wanted to make wedge personalisation more affordable for the consumer as it is a great concept but is often priced at outrageous levels by other golf manufacturers who provide similar offerings. Also as we are an Australian Business we want to make the concept available to the Australian market, as the current manufacturers offering the concept are American based and currently do not sell to people outside of the U.S.

Personalisation options include:

The wedge stamping platform is available in both our Signature Series and Milled wedges, so why not design your own personalised wedge today, after all its you who will be using them out on the course.

Give your bag personality with MiBag – Coming soon!

July 28th, 2010

MiBag Panel Personalisation

In the newest initiative from Lind Golf, you will soon be able to give your Lind Golf golf bags personality by adding fun and witty personalisation panels to them. In addition to the current offering of being able to personalise your golf bag with custom text, you will also be able to choose a panel from an initial selection of 10 designs, all of which feature graphics that are amusing and jovial.

The panels will be available in every colour of bag and the panels are all replaceable, meaning you could have a panel for your social golf game and one for your serious golf competitions, or one for summer and one for winter, basically you can give your bag a personality that can be changed with the flick of a zip.

You can also give the golf bag as a gift with a personal message on the panel and then provide the recipient with an additional panel that is more appropriate to be displayed on the golf course in front of their buddies!

Lind Golf realises there are many personalities on the golf course, but there are only indifferent and undistinguished golf bags, but with the Lind Golf MiBag platform you can portray your own individual personality on your own individualised golf bag!

Big players endorse golf club personalization!

July 18th, 2010

We have been allowing people to personalize their own golf clubs for over 3 years and we’ve been innovating as we grow and developing new and exciting ways of making the process more fun, interactive and engaging.

So many people ask us, why golf clubs? Do people really want “pink and purple” clubs… Do they really care if their name is on their bag or they can laser mark a driver? Well the answer is Yes. They do. And more so than ever, we believe it is important to keep innovating along this path. The USGA and R&A have made it very difficult to innovate based on performance, since they have restricted maximum driver head size and limited driver COR (the amount of spring in a driver face) as well as groove restrictions on wedges.

So we ask ourselves, if performance is more or less limited – how do we continue to innovate and be different? For the past few years we have forged our own path being pioneering the customization and personalization of golf equipment.

Until recently we felt somewhat alone – uncertain as to whether we are on the right track or not however in the last week I have received two e-mails which reassured me that we are entirely on the right track.

It looks like Callaway Golf are trialling a laser marking service on their putters for the month of July – similar to the laser marking service we launched around our drivers in March.
From what we understand this is an Australian initiative:

Titleist have also taken a step towards our business model announcing “WedgeWorks” which allows customers to order personalised Vokey wedges:

Fortunately (or unfortunately) Vokey do not ship to Australia however Lind Golf custom Wedge Stamping launches this week (more to follow soon).

You might ask, why are we promoting our competitors, and what do we think of this?

We love it.  We think this is one of the best things that could have happened to the customized golf club world – two big players are endorsing our model!

I’m expecting these concepts to create a lot of buzz. And what’s better for us than people searching for “create your own golf clubs” on Google? Hello! We’re here, and we’re happy to put our nearly 3 years of expertise at work to make clubs for you and deliver them to your doorstep – at up to 70% off the majors.

Thanks Callaway & Titleist for getting the word out :)

MiClub Laser Marking

April 28th, 2010

In February we launched MiClub Laser Marking. We are the first and only company in the world which lets you laser mark your golf driver with a custom initial, icon or text. It’s been a couple of months and already customers are getting on board left right and centre (well we hope you’re hitting them down the centre and not left and right), but you get my point.

There has been a mix of icons, words, nicknames, and slogans on the clubs so we thought we’d share some of these with you.

Customer feedback

April 20th, 2010

guyblogAs an online business it can be hard to solicit feedback from our customers. As much as we’d like to, most of the time we never get to see or meet them however every ounce of feedback received whether it be by phone, email or testimonial is highly valued and considered.

Customers bring out the truths about your business and if they don’t like something they will tell you right away. The transparency of the internet makes that very easy so if your customer service is not up to scratch or you mistreat a single customer, just once, they could blog about you and that could become the #2 result on Google when people search for your brand. However, if you do a great job, then good things can also happen.

Today we arrived at work to read the following iseekgolf forum post from a satisfied Lind Golf customer:

Just thought I’d follow up my last post. The clubs are great, can’t fault them at all and would recommend them to anyone. Apparently my irons (Sniper irons) are based on the Callaway x-22’s and at almost 1/3 the price can’t believe the quality. Also got a Blackhawk driver which is great.

I have a bunch of mates who have Taylor Made, Callaway and Ping clubs and after having a hit with there clubs can’t really see any difference with my Lind’s. I can’t see myself going out and ever buying a big brand name club again.

These comments justify our work, put smiles on the face of our staff and drive us forward.

Laser Mark Your Driver – A World First

February 19th, 2010

Super one-of-a-kindness…

We are excited to announce our latest feature – the ability to laser mark your driver. We are the first company in the world to offer this innovative concept on a golf club. Make your club one-of-a-kind by adding an initial, a custom icon or write your own message on the face of any Lind Golf driver.

L-miclub
At our factory a precision laser marks your icon or words onto the driver, we then build your club and ship it out to you. It’s that easy! In fact, the only hard part is choosing what to laser on to your club. The laser marking process does not affect the performance of the club whatsoever. We simply remove a nano-layer from the face of the driver when marking the face.

Laser marking is free until March 31st 2010. Learn more here.
